The poignant and relevant theme “Our Water Our Future” has given the Judges for the Far North Exposure environmental photo competition a tough task in choosing this year’s winners. The Judges were impressed with the high standard of the entries and delighted that so many photographers of all ages have taken the time to send in their pictures. Entries ranged from stunning land and seascape shots to disconcerting images that capture our impacts on our water.
Prize-giving for the competition is timed to follow World Wetlands Day, and will be held in Kaitaia on Thursday 3rd February at the Bank Street Art Gallery at 6pm. All are welcome to attend this event which has been made possible with the assistance of sponsors Top Print, More FM, Trees Company Nursery, the Department of Conservation and the Far North District Council.
The winning photographs from each of the three age categories are currently on exhibition at Bank Street Art Gallery in Kaitaia until Saturday 5th February.
